Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX)

Claire Mai Thanh - 20/09/11

On the occasion of the Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX), Ubifrance Australia has organized with success the venue of a French delegation. With more than 600 Australian and international suppliers covering over 50000 sqm, AIMEX has been the occasion for these French companies to discover the Australian mining industry. Ubifrance has organized for the French delegation meetings with local companies to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities and exchange technical information. They have all reported interesting opportunities to establish themselves in Australia by investing or finding partners, agents or distributors for their businesses.

About
The department of Infrastructure, Transport and Industry (ITI) facilitates business between French-based companies and Australian companies/agents/distributors. The ITI department also covers the sectors of environment, energy, mines and oil & gas. Most of our international companies such as Alstom, Areva, EADS, GDF, Suez, Technip, Thales, Total, Turbomeca, Veolia operate successfully in Australia thanks to partnerships and alliances with local companies.  Nevertheless, French SMEs could also bring their expertise and savoir faire when they team up with local players able to master the local context. In 2012, we are going to bring French delegations to AOG (Oil & Gas). Feel free to contact us should your company be interested in connecting with potential French exporters.
