French delegation at Global Petroleum Show 2012

  GLOBAL PETROLEUM SHOW (GPS) is one of the largest energy exhibitions since 1968. GPS unites 60,000 international leaders, engineers, industry professionals, field operators visiting from 95 different countries, and 2,000 service and supply exhibiting companies.   On this occasion, UBIFRANCE Canada is hosting a delegation of 12 leading French companies specializing in the Oil & Gas sector. French delegation at GLOBE 2012 Conference & Trade Fair

  GLOBE is one of the biggest environmental & sustainable business summit in North America. This year marked the 12th biennial GLOBE Series Conference and Trade Fair with 400 exhibitors, 10 000 participants visiting from more than 50 countries. On this occasion, UBIFRANCE Canada and its partner ADEME (French Environment & Energy Management Agency), hosted a delegation of about 10 leading French companies specializing in diverse environmental sectors, such as renewable energy, greenhouse gas emissions management, recycling and waste management, water treatment, green building, etc. : Artelia, Ecomundo, Hocer, Hydrelis, Internat Energy Solutions, Solva-Rec/Chimirec, Vectrance, Certivea including ADEME. All of them were looking at meeting with local Canadian companies to develop business ties.

French Trade delegation on the occasion of the annual Information Technology Security Conference in Montreal

  The French Trade Commission in Canada is organizing a Trade Delegation in the Information Technology Security Sector on the occasion of the annual conference of the Information and Communication Security Association of Montréal (Colloque RSI 2012) one of the major information Security events in Canada and a gathering of major IT security professionals from Québec. This trade mission will take place from the 2nd to the 4th of May 2012 and the delegates will be visiting Toronto and Montreal in order to discover the new upcoming trends in the Canadian and North American information Security Industry. An individual B2B meetings schedule with Canadian companies will be organized on this occasion for each member of the French Trade delegation. A business opportunity not to be missed !

French Pavilion at PDAC 2012 Toronto

After 3 successful participations in 2009 , 2010 and 2011 , Ubifrance and the French Trade Commission in Canada renewed their involvement in the 201 2 edition of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) mining Trade Show, one of the most important international events in the mining sector. The French Pavilion hosted 7 companies (Aramine, BRGM, ENAG, Geovariances, IRIS Instruments, Technidrill and Technip) and witnessed a 4-day schedule of B2B meetings for all participants.

Successful B2B meetings for the French digital and interactive trade delegation

Eleven French companies in the elearning, serious gaming, web, IT services, mobile and health applications, participated in the Digital and Interactive Media business trade delegation organized for the 4th consecutive year by Ubifrance Canada from March 12 to 15 in Quebec and Ontario. Each participant received a personalized B2B meeting schedule in Montreal, Quebec and Toronto and participated in networking events with Canadian companies. Organized in partnership with Interactive Ontario and the Office Franco-Québécois pour la Jeunesse, this digital and interactive trade delegation was successful and allowed the French companies to better comprehend the Canadian IT and digital media industry. Two participating companies already registered local subsidiaries and are  ready to do business with Canadian companies.

Canada – Biotechnologies : French Delegation at BioPartnering North America 2012

BioPartnering North America is North-America’s 2nd largest conference devoted to biotechnology. The 2012 edition brought together over 680 delegates from 422 companies and 28 countries. 2026 meetings were scheduled. For the fourth year in a row, The French Trade Commission in Canada brought a delegation of biotech companies from France. 15 French delegates attended the event making France the most important European delegation. During the three days of the conference, the 15 delegate companies made the most of the B2B meetings and networking events to develop and increase their international business relations. The receptions offered by the organizer TVG were great networking opportunities for all the delegates, in prestigious location s such as the Vancouver Aquarium. On the morning of February 29 th , the French delegates had the opportunity to visit local research centres: Discovery Park ( to meet with biotech companies), Centre for Drug Research & Development, Ubc Centre for Comparative Medicine, Prostate Centre, Genome Sciences Centre… In addition to the B2B meetings, the “ Ubifrance Canada ” booth generated traffic, potential business and increased the visibility of the French delegation.  A great 2012 edition which will certainly lead to a 5 th participation of UBifrance at BPN 2013.
