Canada: Trade delegation on Aging and Disability

Anne-Sophie Proutière - 06/07/11

Ubifrance Canada for the second year in a row organized a delegation of 6 companies offering innovative solutions designed to improve the quality of care for the aging population and people living with a disability.

For this second trade mission, the delegates attended the Festival of International Conferences on Caregiving, Disability, Aging and Technology in Toronto. They also had the opportunity to tour the new lab facilities of the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and meet one-on-one with potential business partners.

In Montreal, a customized seminar was organized for the participating companies  and involved the following organizations from Quebec: the Association québécoise d’établissements de santé et de services sociaux (AQESSS) that represents 133 health-related public institutions, FADOQ (Quebec Federation of Senior Citizens) and SEDNA Group who offers long-term care services, specialized medical and nursing services.

In both Ontario and Quebec, Ubifrance Canada organized individual meetings for each of the 6 participating companies to identify potential business partners.
