<title>Canadian Music Industry:  Visit of a French Trade Delegation in April 2012</title>

<div>Ubifrance Canada is organizing a Trade Delegation in the Music Industry on the occasion of the annual ‘Rencontres de l’ADISQ’ one of the major francophone musical events in Québec and Canada. Organized in collaboration with the ADISQ (Association Québécoise de l’Industrie du Disque, du Spectacle et de la video) the visit will take place from the 3<sup>rd</sup> to the 5<sup>th</sup> of April 2012 and the delegates will travel to Montreal as well as to Toronto in order discover the new upcoming trends in the Canadian music industry. B2B meetings with local Canadian companies will also be organized on this occasion. An event not to be missed !</div>]]></description>

<title>Canada: Trade delegation on Aging and Disability</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Ubifrance Canada for the second year in a row organized a delegation of 6 companies offering innovative solutions designed to improve the quality of care for the aging population and people living with a disability.</p>
<div>For this second trade mission, the delegates attended the Festival of International Conferences on Caregiving, Disability, Aging and Technology<span> in Toronto. They also had the opportunity to tour the new lab facilities of the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and meet one-on-one with potential business partners. </span></div>

<div>In Montreal, a customized seminar was organized for the participating companies  and involved the following organizations from Quebec: the Association québécoise d’établissements de santé et de services sociaux (AQESSS) that represents 133 health-related public institutions, FADOQ (Quebec Federation of Senior Citizens) and SEDNA Group who offers long-term care services, specialized medical and nursing services.</div>

<div>In both Ontario and Quebec, Ubifrance Canada organized individual meetings for each of the 6 participating companies to identify potential business partners.</div>]]></description>

<title>Loblaw Brands Offshore Innovation Show</title>

<div>After 18 months of close cooperation with Loblaws, the largest supermarket chain in Canada, Ubifrance Canada has organised on April 26 and 27 a trade mission for 16 French vendors of various products, from frozen canapés and escargots, to mustards and cookies. They have participated in the first “LCL Offshore Innovation Show” in Brampton, Ontario. The show has welcomed in total 33 companies from France, Italy, Chili, New Zealand, Switzerland and Germany. It was a great opportunity for the French companies and their international competitors to meet with the private label teams directly at their main office. Ubifrance Canada will work together with Loblaws in the coming months to improve and optimise the format.</div>]]></description>

<title>Photonics North 2011</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="line-height: 115%; background: white; color: black; font-size: 10pt">Ottawa, 16-18 May: after a 1<sup>st</sup> successful participation in 2010, it was obvious that the French Trade Commission (Ubifrance) in Canada would raise a new delegation of French Photonic Cies to attend Photonics North, the main conference in photonics in Canada, in 2011!</span></p>
<div style="text-align: justify"><span style="line-height: 115%; background: white; color: black; font-size: 10pt">Then, these are not less than eight companies interested in developing their activities in Canada which attended the event this year.  </span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify"><span style="line-height: 115%; background: white; color: black; font-size: 10pt">For 3 days, </span><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 10pt">Ixfiber, Microcertec, RSA Le Rubis, Photline, Idil, Perfos Teem photonics and Vectrawave have got the opportunity to <span style="background: white; color: black">exhibit their technologies, products or services, at the exhibition space.</span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify"><span style="line-height: 115%; background: white; color: black; font-size: 10pt">The French companies followed a four-day program held in 2 stages:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify"><span style="line-height: 115%; background: white; color: black; font-size: 10pt">- 3 days in Ottawa, including individuals B2B meetings with potential partners, visit of the Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre (CPFC) and the participation at Photonics North where additional pre-targeted meetings as well as networking through the Ubifrance booth made contacts easier, allowing the French delegation to enhance their visibility all along the expo. Access to technical sessions at OFS21 was also included.</span></div>

<title>The 10th Year Anniversary of the Vancouver Fashion Week </title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>The 12th of April, the Vancouver Fashion Week celebrated its 10th anniversary during the Fall/Winter 2011 Opening Gala at the Sutton Place Hotel in Downtown Vancouver.</p>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt">The Vancouver Fashion Week is one of the West Coast biggest fashion event. All the fashion scene, designers, more than 50 buyers, media and fashion lovers gathered to view many local and international designs. This season, VFW has showcased many international designers from China, Korea, the Netherlands, France and the UK alongside established local and emerging designers. For the first time, a French brand, Autobiographie, attended this event. One of its designer, Nazafarin Sadat Akhavi, was at the Opening Gala to show some of her beautiful Fall/Winter 2011 creations, before the official fashion show which was the Saturday 16<sup>th</sup> April.</div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt">During five days, all the fashion shows took place at the Empire Landmark Hotel, in downtown Vancouver.</div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt">Year after year, the Vancouver Fashion Week is gaining more importance. It’s a key event to make a brand known to the Canadian market and to the Asian market as well. Twice a year, designers and buyers from East to West can connect at this event, and do business. With its location on the Pacific Rim, Vancouver is a perfect place for such a multicultural and trendy show.</div>]]></description>

<title>Canada: Trade delegation in the Digital and Interactive Media technologies.</title>

<div style="text-align: justify">UBIFRANCE Canada organized for the third consecutive year a trade delegation of twelve French IT firms with a focus on digital and interactive media technologies. The visit took place from the 28th to the 31st of March 2011 during which the companies got an opportunity to visit and discover the potential of the digital media industry in the Canadian IT hubs such as Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify"> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify">More than 100 B2B meetings were organized with local companies in Montreal and in Toronto along with networking events in collaboration with local digital media and IT clusters such as the Allaince Numérique and the Québec Film and TV council in Montreal. A special seminar was also organized for the participating companies with a focus on the legal, taxation and incentives aspects of investment in the multimedia sector in Canada. The delegates also got an opportunity to visit and meet the interactive and digital media team from Radio Canada, a leading French language channel based in Montreal.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify">In Toronto the Interactive Ontario welcomed the trade delegation on the occasion of one of its networking events, the I-Lunch which took place during a seminar on the new concept of ‘gamification’ presented by author and game based marketing specialist Mr. Gabe Zichermann. The final day of the visit in Toronto was dedicated exclusively to business meetings.</div>]]></description>

<title>France : Guest of honour of the 9th Americana</title>

<div><span style="color: black; font-size: 12pt">With the support of the French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE in Canada, the French Pavilion welcomed a delegation of thirty-four companies and organizations specialized in environmental technologies.</span></div>

<div><span style="color: black; font-size: 12pt">More than 8,000 visitors and speakers and 310 exhibitors participated to this edition. Over 50 countries were represented. More than 800 business meetings were held within the matchmaking forum.</span></div>

<div><span style="color: black; font-size: 12pt">The <a href="http://www2.ademe.fr/servlet/KBaseShow?catid=17775&amp;sort=-1&amp;cid=17747&amp;m=3"><font color="#0000ff">Club ADEME International</font></a>, which greatly helped its members to exhibit at AMERICANA, has been very involved, particularly through the program of lectures on the themes of the French expertise of waste management and climate plans and energy efficiency in buildings and industry.</span></div>

<title>CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK 2011</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="background: white; color: black; font-size: 10pt">March 7-11, 2011: Ubifrance &amp; the French Trade Commission in Canada have organized a "Focus on France", allowing ten French Companies in the music industry and their artists to attend professional meetings and concerts during the 13<sup>th</sup> edition of the Canadian Music </span><span style="color: black; font-size: 10pt">Week.</span></p>
<div style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; vertical-align: top"><span style="color: black; font-size: 10pt"><span style="background: white">In 29 years, CMW has become a major music festivals and markets in North America, catching more than 2,000 professionals, 3,500 artists, 650 journalists, 800 live bands and an audience of 100,000 people throughout the city of Toronto during </span>5 days. <span style="background: white">Outside of music programming ("Canadian Music Fest), CMW also organizes conferences, thematic discussions, ceremonies, meetings between Canadian and international professionals.</span></span></div>

The French delegation, including labels, bookers, festival programmers (Atmosphériques, A Gauche de la lune, MaMA Event etc...) has benefited from exposure offered by the festival after a stop </span><span style="color: black; font-size: 10pt">in Montreal where B2B appointments have also been organized.</span></div>
