Mere end 200 besøgende på vinmessen French Wine Discoveries

Axel BREGLIANO - 20-avr.-2012 13:49:56

REUNIPECHE exhibits impressive catch at European Seafood in Brussels

Axel BREGLIANO - 25-avr.-2012 11:08:59

REUNIPECHE, the foremost player in the fishing sector on Réunion island (France’s overseas département in the Indian Ocean), will take part in the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels (Belgium) from 24 to 26 April 2012. The company will be presenting various types of fish, including albacore and bigeye tuna, as well as coryphene sea bream. An expert in the fishing, filleting and distribution of large deep-sea fish, REUNIPECHE specialises in swordfish, tunny, albacore, yellowfin tuna and bigeye tuna, among other species that it commercializes. Albacore, yellowfin tuna and bigeye tuna yielded prolific catches in 2011. In the same year, there was also an unusually large catch of coryphene sea bream and mahi-mahi, which are — whether fresh or frozen — greatly appreciated by American consumers, in particular. REUNIPECHE will be present at the European Seafood Exposition on Stand 5-301. The event will take place from 24 to 26 April of this year, in the Belgian capital. REUNIPECHE is based on Réunion island, which is an overseas French département located near Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean. REUNIPECHE’s fishing is concentrated in the seas off the southern and eastern coasts of Madagascar, around Réunion, and in waters around Mauritius. To the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), this is Zone 51, which encompasses the Western Indian Ocean. The sheer wealth of species in Réunion waters allows the company to present a wide range of fish only accessible to deep-sea-fishing operators, and those fish include marlin, shark and sailfish, among others. Most catches are pulled in live, which guarantees their freshness and quality. The fish are then killed using the Taniguchi method, developed in Japan, whereby nylon wire is threaded through the fish’s nerve centres. As a result, the fish does not become stressed, hence no toxins are released in the process. The fish is then cooled in a brine tub containing iced seawater, prior to being preserved on ice inside a refrigerated hold. REUNIPECHE specialises in quality products and prides itself on being very meticulous in the way that it catches, stores, cuts, packs and transports the fish. The company’s products are labelled Class Extra in terms of food certification, and can be prepared raw without any problem. Export sales account for 50% of REUNIPECHE’s turnover, especially in fresh swordfish and tuna filets. Since the start of 2012, REUNIPECHE has been supplying the Japanese market: each and every week, four tonnes of fish are shipped out to the Tokyo market, directly from Réunion island. Already established on the European, Asian and American markets, REUNIPECHE seeks to continue developing its export business. The company, more particularly, intends to focus its efforts on the Japanese and Russian markets. About REUNIPECHE REUNIPECHE is based in Saint-Denis de la Réunion, on Réunion island. It is an integrated business that covers the entire fish-distribution supply chain: from the catching of the fish to its delivery to wholesalers. The company also works closely with various fishing fleets. REUNIPECHE provides fresh, high-quality products complete with certificate of origin and a health-responsibility guarantee (CEE agreement). Fresh deep-sea fish sold by REUNIPECHE comes from a fleet of 17 boats that unload about 1,500 tonnes per year. Concerned with the environment, REUNIPECHE is also associated with a shelter that takes care of local turtles. Accordingly, the company’s fishermen are fully equipped to collect any injured turtles and hand them over to veterinarians. REUNIPECHE will be present at the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels (Belgium) on Stand 5-301. The event will take place from 24 to 26 April 2012 in the Belgian capital. The French Wind Power Industry showcases at EWEA 2012 - The Major European Event

Axel BREGLIANO - 30-mars-2012 12:22:45

35 French companies will be represented in a France pavilion at EWEA 2012, to be held in Copenhagen from 16 to 19 April. This national pavilion is being organised by Ubifrance, the French agency for export promotion, in partnership with France Energie Eolienne, the wind power branch of the Syndicat des Energies Renouvelables (France’s Renewable Energies Union) and Windustry France. With support from their regional partners, French SMEs will be demonstrating their expertise and presenting their latest innovations to European clients. France has a number of significant natural advantages that are helping it to establish itself as a major wind power country: it has the second largest wind resource in Europe after the United Kingdom, its mainland has three coastlines and it boasts the world’s second largest maritime area. I ts Research and Development initiatives and industrial expertise mean that it is in a position to develop an innovative and powerful wind sector. 11,000 people currently work in France’s wind sector - a number which is set to grow to 60,000 by 2020. As of the end of December 2011, its total onshore installed capacity stood at 6600 MW. This should reach 19,000 MW by 2020, with offshore capacity reaching 6000 MW. In 2011, the French government issued an initial invitation to tender for 3000 MW, to be distributed across 500 to 600 wind turbines which will be built off the Channel, North Sea and Atlantic coasts. It should issue a second offshore invitation to tender any time now. French companies involved in the wind sector are taking advantage of this favourable situation and are using the domestic market to develop expertise that has been acquired in other sectors, such as metallurgy, aeronautics, shipbuilding, etc. Thanks to a number of initiatives being implemented by various regional bodies, France’s wind industry is growing significantly. The Pays de la Loire regional agency, Bourgogne Développement , Bretagne Développement Innovation and Bretagne International , as well as representatives of the Picardie Regional Council, the Somme General Council and Havre Développement will all be present at EWEA 2012, alongside companies from their regions.  Come and meet the French exhibitors in Hall B at Stands BD10 - BE10 - BF10. Ecoceane’s WORKGLOP® 128 wastes no time hoovering up at Interspill 2012

Axel BREGLIANO - 22-mars-2012 13:36:05

Ecoceane of France, a company specialising in vessels that collect floating debris and hydrocarbons, will present its new ship at Interspill 2012 — the WORKGLOP® 128. This unique anti-pollution vessel will be moored alongside the ExCeL exhibition centre in London (UK) from 13 to 15 March 2012. Ecoceane’s proven technology, which hoovers up waterborne waste in an emulsion-free manner, was used to clean up the oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010 . WORKGLOP® 128 acts as a vacuum cleaner across the surface of the sea, capable of recovering waterborne pollution at a speed of 80m³/h. Ecoceane will demonstrate the unique effectiveness of its WORKGLOP® 128, the company’s premier ship for marine depollution, at the Interspill 2012 trade fair, to be held from 13 to 15 of this month at the ExCeL exhibition centre in Docklands (London). The WORKGLOP® 128 will be moored opposite Entry 4 of Interspill at ExCeL; Ecoceane will be on Stand U300 (Hall 5). The WORKGLOP® range, at the cutting edge of Ecoceane’s technology, supplies an array of services, combined with the recovery of floating solids and liquid waste. These ships are to be used for the protection of large industrial and commercial ports and that of the shoreline, and in the oil-and-gas sector. The Ecoceane ships are fitted out with hydraulic aluminium self-floating booms, connected at the stern by a transversal axis, which makes it possible to work simultaneously on different planes. The booms are constantly in the optimum position on top of the waves and enable all the vessels in the WORKGLOP® range (106, 117 and 128) to work effectively in bad weather, including in conditions where winds and/or waves are up to Force 6. In order to augment its storage capacity and to make possible continuous work on a polluted site, the ships in the WORKGLOP® range are permanently equipped with a system for transferring collected hydrocarbons. From the starting of the engine, the Ecoceane ships filter the water that is passing between the ship’s hulls: macro-waste material is stopped by a basket-container, and the hydrocarbons pass into a separator where they are stored as they float. This technology has been patented. Most importantly, the Ecoceane collection system does not create emulsion. If the recovered pollution is already emulsified, it cannot be transferred, as the transfer pump always sucks in the hydrocarbons above the water (and above the emulsion). When the separator is full of emulsion, it is isolated and heated — using a keel-cooling system and a generating unit — in order to separate the hydrocarbons from the water. The WORKGLOP® 128 constitutes a major innovation, for which Ecoceane was awarded A T Kearney’s Best Innovator Prize. The company has also received the Top Innovation Prize for good environmental practice by the Association des techniciens et professionnels du pétrole (AFTP, the French Association of Oil Industry Engineers and Technicians) at the Annual Hydrocarbon Day 2011 in France. “The cleaning and the depollution of the sea and of [other] waters are essential for life in the Gulf. [...] I am proud to support the launching of an innovative French technology which we need to preserve effectively the sea and the water throughout the world for future generations,” says Sheikh Hassan Bin Jabor Al-Thani of Qatar, a water-sport enthusiast and a sponsor of the WORKGLOP® 128. Ecoceane’s innovative solutions are recognised worldwide, and proved highly effective in the Gulf of Mexico, in the USA, following the Deep Water Horizon disaster of 2010. Ecoceane has been marketing its range of ships and services in relation to hydrocarbon recovery for the oil-and-gas industries in the USA, and in local communities and ports worldwide. Today 85% of the company’s turnover is achieved through export sales. “France is proud to count innovative SMEs such as Ecoceane as a driving force of green growth. Ecoceane’s activity and technology are fully in line with the strategic priorities [of the French government], bringing forth new technologies to secure the oil and gas platforms and ‘motorways of the sea’,” explains Ms Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, former Minister of Ecology in France. The capacity of an ultra-large crude carrier (ULCC) reaches 500,000 metric tons and 2.6 billon metric tons of crude oil were transported by sea in 2008. Ensuring the safety of the shoreline, coasts, ‘motorways of the sea’, and fisheries, as well as the conservation of the biotope, are the major maritime issues of the 21st century, imposing on states the need for a concerted policy on disaster prevention and intervention. About Ecoceane Established in 2003, Ecoceane is devoted exclusively to the R&D, construction, and marketing of ships (for which it holds patents internationally) that collect hydrocarbons and solid debris floating in water. Integrated in the company’s structure is an R&D facility and a naval dockyard that focuses on aluminium construction. Ecoceane specialises in marine depollution and the improvement in the quality of stretches of water. The company offers solutions for the collection and storage of macro-waste and floating hydrocarbons. These solutions are effective in the open sea, but also in ports, estuaries, lakes, canals and rivers. Three ranges of ships have been developed by Ecoceane: CATAGLOP®, SPILLGLOP® and WORKGLOP®. Ecoceane is supported by OSEO Innovation, an agency of the French government that finances innovation in SMEs, as well as by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Every three years, Interspill brings together the principal organisations dealing with maritime depollution, such as coastguard agencies based in the North Atlantic, entities responsible for maritime safety, and players involved in sustainable development. Ecoceane will host a demonstration at the Interspill 2012 trade show on 14 March 2012, in the ExCeL marina. It will be followed by a drinks reception reserved for public- and private-sector decision makers from the industry, which will take place on the Borda, a vessel of the French Navy that is part of its Oceanographic Service. These events will be supported by the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing; by UBIFRANCE; by the French Maritime Cluster; by the French Navy; and, finally, by OSEO. The WORKGLOP® 128 will be moored opposite Entry 4 of Interspill at the ExCeL exhibition centre (in London). Ecoceane will be on Stand U300 (Hall 5) at the trade show.
