Näyttely on osa World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 virallista ohjelmaa. Saint-Étienne, entinen teollisuuskaupunki, on löytänyt kulttuurista ja designista uuden suunnan. Maailmaa kiertäneessä  näyttelyssä nähdään innovaatioita osallistavasta kaupunkisuunnittelusta yllättävään arkipäivän tuotekehittelyyn. The sole is treated by relying on advanced anti-allergy technology. It will be presenting Gobi , the first eco-designed, French-produced and Bisphenol A (BPA)-free reusable bottle at Spring Fair International. Gobi was specifically designed to be easily integrated into an office or urban environment and to offer an appealing alternative to disposable cups and bottles. The company’s collections are designed in Paris and then created in Nepal, using the local artisans’ traditional knowledge and materials. LAMALI will present its selection of handmade colourful lokta paper garlands, mobiles and bunting, as well as its woollen accessories, at the trade show. www.lamali.com   LIB EDITEUR D’IDEES (on stand M37) LIB EDITEUR D’IDEES, which was founded in 2009, produces top-quality items that are made in France and have been designed to high ecological standards. Terveysalan bioteknologian tärkeä asema ja hyvä maine Pohjoismaissa ovat houkutelleet kilpailukykykeskusten, yritysten, laboratorioiden ja sairaaloiden edustajista koostuvan ranskalaisvaltuuskunnan vierailulle Tanskaan, Ruotsiin ja Suomeen 3.-7. lokakuuta. Delegaatio vieraili Kööpenhaminassa, Lundissa, Tukholmassa ja Turussa tarkoituksenaan käydä eri kohteissa, joissa delegaation jäsenillä on omia tapaamisia. Delagaation tarkoituksena oli tutustua meneillään olevaan tutkimukseen bioteknologian eri aloilla, kuten neurotieteissä, onkologiassa, tulehdussairauksissa, immunologiassa jne. luodakseen tutkimukseen liittyviä ja kaupallisia kumppanuussuhteita. Innovaatio on Ranskalle talous- ja teollisuuspolitiikan ytimessä. Kilpailukykykeskukset vastaavat paremmasta koordinaatiosta tutkimuksen ja kehityksen alalla sekä teknologian siirtymisessä korkeakouluilta yrityksille kokoamalla saman tahon yhteyteen niin yksityisen ja akateemisen tutkimuksen, yritysmaailman kuin opetusalankin toimijat. Tällä tavoin voidaan tukeutua syntyvään synergiaan ja innovatiivisiin yhteistyöhankkeisiin, joiden avulla yritykset voivat saada jalansijaa kansainvälisillä markkinoilla samalla kun innovaatio hyödyttää teollisuutta ja potilaita.
