The Airbus Military has appointed the aircraft manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) as the single producer of C212-400 airplanes. All manufacturing facilities for C212-400 aircraft had been delivered to Bandung-based PT Dirgantara Indonesia in West Java. The Airbus Military, a business unit of Airbus which is part of the EADS conglomerate, will then focus its attention on the manufacturing of the Airbus A400M. Airbus Military is a business unit of the French based company Airbus, which is part of the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) conglomerate. The current company was formally created in April 2009 by the integration of the former Military Transport Aircraft Division (MTAD) and Airbus Military Sociedad Limitada (AMSL) into Airbus. In January 1999 the company was established as the Airbus Military Company SAS to manage the Airbus A400M project, taking over from the Euroflag consortium. In May 2003 the company was restructured as Airbus Military Sociedad Limitada (AMSL) prior to the signature of the production contract. The Military Transport Aircraft Division (MTAD) was a division of EADS which designs, manufactures and commercializes EADS-CASA light and medium transport aircraft, and is headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

There are approximately 2,300 companies active in the new technologies sector, related to telecommunications in France. In 2009, they represented a turnover of 55.6 billion Euros and employed about 150,000 people . They are especially competitive in the area of content (chat, music, video on demand applications), contactless technologies, and platforms for value-added services.
In this highly competitive sector marked by the rise of the Asian newly industrialized countries (South Korea, Taiwan) and the technological leadership of U.S. firms, France wants to promote its assets:
-Worldwide large groups with industrial/commercial plans or via the joint-venture with foreign operators.
-A fairly dense network of small companies and innovative start-ups, increasingly export-oriented.
-A powerful R & D, advanced especially for contactless technologies (NFC, RFID), mobile-payment, the value-added services, and whose energy is supplied by universities and engineering colleges providing training in science recognized worldwide.
The mobile operators
The French market for mobile is dominated by three major mobile network operators (MNOs): France Telecom Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom. A fourth operator (Free) has just hit the market in 2012 and plans to greatly reduce prices. Around 25 MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) complete the landscape and represent, in November 2010, nearly 6.2% of the market.
ISPs (Internet service providers)
On the 2nd quarter of 2010, France has about 20.9 million Internet subscribers, an increase of 7.9% over second quarter 2009. The main service providers (ISPs) are Orange (almost 9 million subscribers), SFR (4, 68 million), Free (and its subsidiary Alice), Numéricable Bouygues Telecom is the newest on the market and is the one which registers the highest increase of subscribers thanks to its quadruple offer called “play Ideo” launched in May 2009. Other ISPs (DARTYBOX NordNet, Vivéole, NDF, Nerim, Magic OnLine) share nearly 1% of the market.
