Ubifrance and the French Trade Commission in India is setting up a French Pavilion at PLASTINDIA 2012, the 8th International Exhibition and Conference on the Plastics Industry , which will be held from 1st to 6th February 2012 in New Delhi. The French Pavilion will showcase innovative technologies of leading French companies in the sector and offer both the Exhibitors and their Indian counterparts to explore business opportunities.
With an annual growth of 12% since the last few years, the Indian plastics industry offers huge business potential for professionals worldwide. Even though the current per capita use of plastics in India is low (6 kg/annum against a world average of 12 kg/annum), the country is expected to become the 3rd largest consumer of plastics in 2012 with a total consumption of 12.5 million tons. The high demand for plastics in India is driven by its fast-growing industries such as the automotive and the packaging industry.
In order to meet such an increase in demand, India requires an investment of 10 billion USD in new machinery by 2020. This exhibition will thus provide a good opportunity to the Indian Plastic industry to upgrade its production apparatus.
11 French companies, some of them world leaders in their fields, will present their latest technological innovations in the field of plastics.
Come and meet them at the French Pavilion in Hall N°11, Pragati Maidan.
