      The First V.I.E Awards in Singapore   The French Trade Commission organized the first V.I.E (Volunteer for International Experience) Awards in Singapore in partnership with the local section of CCEF (French Foreign Trade Advisers) and the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.  The awards ceremony was held on June 16 th in the French Residence with the Ambassador of France, Olivier Carron in the presence of one hundred representatives of the business community and several V.I.Es.  A jury auditioned 10 participants during the month of May and chose Mr. Yoann Gueguen as the winner. The former is a Business Development Manager for the company Lumiplan (intelligent transport solutions) and received round-trip ticket for Paris from Air France. Mr Gueguen will also have the privilege to represent Singapore at the regional V.I.E Awards which will be held during the ASEAN forum of the CCEF from 27 till 29 November. We would like also congratulate Antoine Bouchacourt (Business Development Manager APAC for Netvizio) and Geoffrey Delahe (Brand Manager for Guy Dregrenne) who were both tied at 2 nd place and Emilie Varral (Sales Forecaster for Legrand) who took the 3rd prize. With its 182 volunteers working in 82 companies, Singapore is the 8th host country for V.I.E.s, more than half of them holding regional responsibilities. Rendez vous next year for an even more prestigious e dition!

"The 1st V.I.E FORUM" Human Resources Committee VIE Forum Date and Time Venue Registration Dates 10 Jun 2011 16:00 to 19:30 Embassy of France, 101-103 Cluny Park Road, Singapore 259595 01 Apr 2011 to 09 Jun 2011 The Trade Commission-Ubifrance in Singapore, in partnership with the local section of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF) and the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS), is organizing:   The 1st V.I.E FORUM on June 10th, 2011 The Volunteer for International Experience (V.I.E) is an alternative solution for additional headcount in companies. The V.I.E enables French companies to host a French young professional between 18 to 28 years of age on a working assignment.  During the forum, you will have the opportunity to meet and identify potential candidates, all motivated graduates from the top schools in Europe, locally. These candidates possess technical knowledge difficult to find in the local market, are bilingual in French and English, therefore can serve as the communication bridge. This forum is in addition to the usual recruitment process of your company. It allows you take a look at the French talent present in Singapore and eventually bring forward a candidate shortlisted by you. Furthermore, this forum is free and doesn’t oblige you to hire the identified candidate.
