Nine French companies from the ports logistics sector participated in a discovery mission for the port market of Singapore and Malaysia from 26 to 30 September 2011. During these five days, the companies were able to better understand the two diverse markets through country presentations, meetings with port authorities as well as 5 ports in the region, namely: PSA and Jurong Port in Singapore and Tanjung Pelepas, Tanjung Langsat and Johor Port in Malaysia.
The participation by a pole of competitiveness, Novalog, specialised in the development of innovative technology applied to the technology sector. This allowed it to identify several common issues and research topics which eventually will emerge as collaboration between the different French and Singaporean/Malaysian institutions.
The success of this event highlights the potential of the port logistics sector in these two countries, of which the French know-how and capabilities may be harnessed.

Three French companies recently participated in “Beauty Rendez-Vous”, a beauty showcase organised by the French Trade Commission Ubifrance in Singapore that enabled the companies to feature their skin and hair care brands in an intimate yet professional hotel setting. Through a series of pre-organised B2B meetings tailored to the requirements of each French company, the French participants had the opportunity to meet individually with interested distributors, who were seen enthusiastically testing the product samples, asking questions and exchanging information. Both the French and local companies also appreciated the exclusivity of this by-invitation only trade event which translated to quality meetings between like-minded trade professionals.
The “Beauty Rendez-Vous” also included a seminar, a guided visit to prominent beauty retail sites and a networking dinner whereby the French companies had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the local authorities, trade association as well as other French comrades currently working in the local cosmetics sector.
At the end of the 2-day programme, the French participants went home with a fuller understanding of the local cosmetics industry as well as important contacts of potential business partners. Discussions are on-going following the individual B2B meetings between the French and local companies and we are confident that these will be fruitful.
The first edition of the “Beauty Rendez-Vous” has shown the interest of the local market for quality French products. We look forward to organising the next edition, so join us at the next rendezvous!

The French Trade Commission Ubifrance in Singapore had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of four French companies during the French Medical Days on 12 and 13 September 2011. The professional event showcased four French companies, proposing innovative medical devices and solutions, each a specialist in its domain.
Through a seminar, pre-organised individual B2B meetings and a networking dinner, the French companies had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the local authorities and trade association as well as potential local distributors and clients. The participants appreciated the comfortable size of the delegation as it facilitated exchanges and communication between the participants, thus enabling each of them to fully benefit from the sessions. Discussions are on-going following the individual B2B meetings between the French and local companies and we are confident that these will be fruitful.
After an enriching and positive experience in Singapore, the French companies moved on to Bangkok in the next leg of the French Medical Days to spend two similarly interesting days in the Thai capital.
Following the success of French Medical Days 2011, we look forward to replicating the event in the coming years.

We are very glad to announce that MediaCorp , Singapore’ largest media broadcaster and provider with 8 television channels and 13 radio channels, has selected french company ENENSYS ’s equipment for its DVB-T2 trial network to prepare for DVB-T2 deployment.
MediaCorp will set up a trial network to showcase DVB-T2 MultiPLP capability in delivering SD, HD and 3DTV programs within a single frequency during Broadcast Asia 2011 held in Suntec Singapore from 21 to 24 June 2011. The trial network will subsequently be expanded for a DTV-T2 Trial commissioned by Media Development Authority of Singapore.
In this project, ENENSYS provides the DVB-T2 key elements:
the DVB-T2 Gateway, installed at the Head End site, used to adapt of the content to the DVB-T2 standard, to create the MultiPLP, to generate the T2-MI packets and to deliver the content to the transmitter sites in a synchronized SFN environment.
the DVB-T2 modulator, associated to the transmitter, receives the generated streams and configuration from the DVB-T2 Gateway and modulate it to a DVB-T2 signal, managing the different PLP.
It is a great reference for company Enensys, and one more testimonial to France’s leading capabilities for broadcast technologies.
Once again, we will be back on CommunicAsia & BroadcastAsia 2012 through a french pavillion and a B2B meeting platform
