TERREAL, one of the top leading players in building materials, has developed innovative solutions in terracotta facade-related products. The terracotta material, which is ecological by its very nature, features widely-acknowledged acoustic and thermal properties. Through innovating building solutions, TERREAL has the ambition to associate this warm and authentic material to the creation of a habitat that is respectful of the environment and of the people who live and work in it. TERREAL facade solutions are traditionally warm, decidedly technological and sustainable, and they open whole new horizons to architectural creation.
The Ventilated Facade construction system developed by TERREAL consists of a terracotta panel from 20 to 60 cm in height and up to 1.80 m in length. The panel is fixed to a building back up wall using metal fastenings (aluminium or stainless steel), taking care to keep an air gap between the panel and the wall to ensure constant ventilation of the facade. TERREAL ventilated facades may be combined with external thermal insulation (Terreal CoolMax for instance, an aluminium base reflective insulation solution) to ensure thermal protection and optimal energy efficiency for new or renovated buildings. Terreal façade solutions provide high wind and shock resistance, and are maintenance free.
The TERREAL sunscreen (or louvers) solutions act as a solar heat reduction system. Terreal Terracotta’s strong thermal inertia delays and reduces the release of absorbed solar heat towards the indoors while allowing indirect light to penetrate, better thermal; co m fort, optimized use of natural light. 100% natural and recyclable, TERREAL Terracotta facades do not deteriorate in case of high air humidity content, are non-combustible and maintenance-free.
TERREAL has developed particularly innovative fastening systems which facilitate the fitting of its ventilated facades and sunscreens. By using highly efficient firing methods, TERREAL is in a position to provide a range of outstanding width and breadth, whether in terms of colour, format or surface aspects.
About the TERREAL Group : This French group was founded through the merger of three powerful, centennial and renowned brick and tile makers. It then went on to add other prestigious names in the construction sector, and today its yearly revenues amount 400MEuros and it employs 3,000 people on 25 production sites worldwide. It has subsidiaries in Europe, the United States and Asia, the latter being an area where it is experiencing sustained growth thanks to its facilities in Malaysia, Singapore and China.

It’s been confirmed! France will introduce an innovative offer in cosmetics ingredients at the IN - COSMETICS Asia tradeshow held in BANGKOK from next December 14th to 16th. Led by UBIFRANCE – the French Agency for International Business Development - the French Pavilion will be assembling a representative sample from a sector of national excellence.
Discover the French Pavilion at Block no. C58 and D58 (next to Innovation Zone), Hall 101-102, BITEC.
By conducting its R&D through close collaboration with researchers and laboratories, France has succeeded in maintaining its leading international position. It still holds first rank worldwide in cosmetics exports with a turnover at €9.5b, and is strengthening its position in Thailand.
IN - COSMETICS gives pride of place to innovations . And French companies will not be found wanting! Their offers are perfectly in tune with an active lifestyle, also reinforcing the trend for natural i ngredients : consider the 300 products from BIOLANDES featuring extracts from blossoms, resins and moss, or LESSONIA makeup and its plant pigments made from gardenia, grape seeds or cochineal, as well as OLVEA’s plant oils and butter. Also, TECHNICO-FLOR is boosting its research in natural and environmentally-friendly fragrances, creating new fragrance families that are natural, eco-friendly or sourced from Fair Trade. Specialised in conventional and organic custom-made raw materials, ID-BIO for its part offers a new line in titrated extracts that are certified by Ecocert Greenlife.
There is a significant trend this year in products intended for spas : AGRIMER - one of the leading French manufacturers of professional products for spas and thalassotheraphy centres- will be making its first appearance at the tradeshow, introducing its new range of sea cosmetics named Thalasso Organics ®. As for TECH-NATURE, it provides brand label services for leading names in beauty care and spas, and specialises in peel-off alginate masks.
Other companies will present extensive ranges : plant extracts in organic and non-organic forms by SONIAM, and crystal-clear jellifiers for sparkling, water-free cosmetic gels by AIGLON.
Servicing the sector’s end , COVERPLA provides a comprehensive service in primary packaging to help its customers to personalise their products.
Se rvices will also be showcased with BIO ALTERNATIVES, who performs in-vitro trials to support cosmetics claim substantiation.
Most of the products on display will be certified by ECOCERT.
