TERRACOTTA VENTILATED FACADES BY TERREAL

Ratchaneekorn Mekchai - 21-mai-2012 09:57:50

TERREAL, one of the top leading players in building materials, has developed innovative solutions in terracotta facade-related products. The terracotta material, which is ecological by its very nature, features widely-acknowledged acoustic and thermal properties. Through innovating building solutions, TERREAL has the ambition to associate this warm and authentic material to the creation of a habitat that is respectful of the environment and of the people who live and work in it. TERREAL facade solutions are traditionally warm, decidedly technological and sustainable, and they open whole new horizons to architectural creation. The Ventilated Facade construction system developed by TERREAL consists of a terracotta panel from 20 to 60 cm in height and up to 1.80 m in length. The panel is fixed to a building back up wall using metal fastenings (aluminium or stainless steel), taking care to keep an air gap between the panel and the wall to ensure constant ventilation of the facade. TERREAL ventilated facades may be combined with external thermal insulation (Terreal CoolMax for instance, an aluminium base reflective insulation solution) to ensure thermal protection and optimal energy efficiency for new or renovated buildings. Terreal façade solutions provide high wind and shock resistance, and are maintenance free. The TERREAL sunscreen (or louvers) solutions act as a solar heat reduction system. Terreal Terracotta’s strong thermal inertia delays and reduces the release of absorbed solar heat towards the indoors while allowing indirect light to penetrate, better thermal; co m fort, optimized use of natural light. 100% natural and recyclable, TERREAL Terracotta facades do not deteriorate in case of high air humidity content, are non-combustible and maintenance-free.  TERREAL has developed particularly innovative fastening systems which facilitate the fitting of its ventilated facades and sunscreens. By using highly efficient firing methods, TERREAL is in a position to provide a range of outstanding width and breadth, whether in terms of colour, format or surface aspects. About the TERREAL Group : This French group was founded through the merger of three powerful, centennial and renowned brick and tile makers. It then went on to add other prestigious names in the construction sector, and today its yearly revenues amount 400MEuros and it employs 3,000 people on 25 production sites worldwide. It has subsidiaries in Europe, the United States and Asia, the latter being an area where it is experiencing sustained growth thanks to its facilities in Malaysia, Singapore and China.   For further information : TERREAL SINGAPORE Ptd Ltd Mr Olivier ROBER, Managing Director olivier.rober@terreal.com www.terrealinternational.com Regional press contact (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia): Ms. Ratchaneekorn MEKCHAI French Trade Commission - UBIFRANCE, French Embassy in Thailand Tel: + 66 2 352 41 19 Email: ratchaneekorn.mekchai@ubifrance.fr UBIFRANCE BLOG: www.ubifrance.com/th     (Thailand) www.ubifrance.com/sg    (Singapore) www.ubifrance.com/my   (Malaysia) www.ubifrance.com/id     (Indonesia)
